12 Alvin runners complete ConocoPhillips Rodeo 10K Run

Twelve Alvin athletes completed the ConocoPhillips Rodeo 10K Run on Saturday, Feb. 23 in Houston.

The runners from Alvin and their finishing times were John Garcia, 36, 49:44; Jereme Lorenzo Rodriguez, 29, 56:55; Joe Allen Mann, 40, 57:36; Brandi Orozco, 33, 58:54; Alan K. Ping, 58, 1:00:33; Jana Wieser, 33, 1:04:05; Susan C. Mann, 37, 1:04:38; Justin Strain, 23, 1:08:12; Casey Kimball, 26, 1:11:28; Shannon Brown, 27, 1:11:43; Suzan Kimball, 52, 1:14:28; and Steffanie Dunbar, 26, 1:26:38.

Race organizers said 6,299 runners finished the 10K race, which began and ended in downtown Houston.

Sammy Kiplagat, of Glen Drive, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 30:37, while Mary H. Davies, of Houston, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 32:53.
