The following men's basketball players, both with Pearland high school ties, will see action this week:

Jamal Fenton, the University of New Mexico

About Fenton: He was rated a three-star recruit by Scout.com and Rivals.com entering his senior season of play at Cesar E. Chavez High School in 2008-2009, under head coach Kevin Pullum. Fenton was also ranked in the top 10 in the Houston area by RCSSports.com and the top 20 in Texas by TexasHoops.com. He is the son of Hyron and Gail Fenton.

Terry Allen, the University of Richmond
Position: Forward
High school: Manvel High School

About Allen: The freshman forward for the University of Richmond is a 2012 graduate of Manvel High School, where he was named all-state and 4A Player of the Year as a senior. He was also a nominee for Mr. Basketball for the state of Texas and was 4A Player of the Year in 2012. Allen scored 1,988 points and grabbed 1,050 rebounds career rebounds. He also had 215 steals. The Houston native is the son of Benton and Stefanie Tyson.
