Manvel grad Allen contributes to Richmond victory
Houston native Terry Allen contributed two points in Richmond's 81-61 home win over conference rival North Carolina at Charlotte on Saturday, Jan. 19, Richmond's website reported.
The freshman forward helped the Spiders improve to 12-7 on the season and 2-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Richmond's next game is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at home against Virginia Commonwealth University.
A 2012 graduate of Manvel High School, Allen was named all-state and 4A Player of the Year in his senior year.
Also in 2012, he was a nominee for Mr. Basketball for the state of Texas and was a 4A Player of the Year.
Allen scored 1,988 points, grabbed 1,050 career rebounds and also had 215 steals.
He is the son of Benton and Stefanie Tyson.
