Apollo 13: The Longest Hour will be held at the Friendswood Public Library on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

According to an announcement from the library, "Sy Liebergot, Apollo-era former electrical, environmental and consumables manager flight controller will speak about what it was like to be a front-line flight controller in mission control when a monster failure occurred during the Apollo 13 mission and landed squarely in his lap. He relates his reactions and the general details of the explosion as they really happened using actual audio from his mission control console. Sy includes comments on the Apollo 13 film's accuracy and meeting Tom Hanks and Ron Howard."

The free event will take place at 7 p.m. at the library, 416 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood.
