Nine Pearland runners complete 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Half Marathon

Nine Pearland athletes completed the 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Half Marathon on Sunday, Dec. 9 in Dallas.

The runners from Pearland and their finishing times were Kathleen Swinson, 2:25:54; Christopher Johns, 2:34:20; Adam Furtwengler, 2:34:26; Arun Rao, 2:53:57; Kotesh Rao, 2:53:57; Anita Rao, 2:53:58; Courtney Collins, 2:54:58; Beverly Noble, 3:03:13; Tracy Stoker, 3:05:47; and Kathleen Swinson, 2:25:54.

Race organizers said 9,878 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which began and ended at Downtown Dallas.

Andrew Letherby, of Austin, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 1:09:45, while Ashley Johnson, of Dallas, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 1:21:37.
