Pearland grad Ford plays in Northwestern State loss
Pearland High School graduate Ebony Ford played for Northwestern State as it lost 72-61 to conference rival Sam Houston State Monday, Jan. 7, at Johnson Coliseum in Huntsville, the Northwestern State website reported.
Ford and the Demons are 5-8 on the season and 1-2 in the Southland Conference.
Northwestern State's next game is 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 on the road against Oral Roberts (DH).
Ford is a redshirt freshman forward for Northwestern State University. She is a 2011 graduate of Pearland High School, where she was a first team all-district player as a senior and second team honoree as a junior. In her senior season, she averaged 15 points and seven boards a game along with an average of two assists, three steals and two blocked shots. She also was recognized as an All-American Scholar and was a member of both the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. The psychology major from Pearland is the daughter of Dennis and Arlene Ford.
