Manvel pitcher keeps eye on stats, playoffs
By Chris Marshall
A: Kyle Lohse. He overcame going up and down through the minors to the majors. I just like his style of play.
Q: Who is your greatest inspiration?
A: My dad. I always liked playing sports with him and just watching how he handled himself in the real world.
Q: What are your goals this season?
A: This year I want to win and make the playoffs for our team. That’s major because our school has only been there once. I also want to have an ERA under three and get my walks per nine innings down.
Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals?
A: There’s a certain way I fold my sock every game that nobody else does. Me and one of my teammates drink this aloe vera juice that he gets from a Japanese store. It clears out our system and makes us feel better.
