Friendswood High School students win at speech tournament

Friendswood High School students placed in the Clear Brook Speech Tournament Dec. 7-8.

Friendswood High School students placed in various categories at the Clear Brook Speech Tournament, which took place Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8.

According to a press release, "Jim Bockmon and Nader Asgari-Tari won first place in CCX debate. Bockmon also won the third place speaker award and Asgari-Tari won first place in foreign extemp. Jacob Segal won first place in novice prose, seventh place in oration and eighth place in the impromptu category. Lisa Harringon won second place in novice prose and Charles Yeager won seventh place in novice extemp."

"Friendswood High School students did a great job at the Clear Brook Speech tournament recently," said teacher and sponsor Cheryl Ryne in the release.
