Pearland grad Ford contributes to Northwestern State victory
Pearland High School graduate Ebony Ford played for Northwestern State in its 64-62 win at home over conference rival McNeese State Thursday, Jan. 3, at Prather Coliseum in Natchitoches, La., the Northwestern State website reported.
Ford helped the Lady Demons improve to 5-6 on the season and 1-0 in the Southland Conference. Northwestern State's next game is 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at home against Lamar (DH).
Ford is a redshirt freshman forward for Northwestern State University. She is a 2011 graduate of Pearland High School, where she was a first team all-district player as a senior and second team honoree as a junior. In her senior season, she averaged 15 points and seven boards a game along with an average of two assists, three steals and two blocked shots. She also was recognized as an All-American Scholar and was a member of both the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. The psychology major from Pearland is the daughter of Dennis and Arlene Ford.
