Alvin Community College to host big band concert Feb. 2

Alvin Community College will host its 14th annual big band concert Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Nolan Ryan Center.
The event will start at 7 p.m.
According to a press release from Alvin Community College, "Jazz and swing dance enthusiasts will get their chance on the dance floor. Kurland Street Band will begin playing the first notes at 7 p.m. and the last dance will be at 10 p.m. Funds raised at the event will go directly to the music department and alumni scholarships."
Tickets are $15 and include dancing and light refreshments.
Alvin Community College's Nolan Ryan Center is at 3110 Mustang Road, Alvin.
