Pearland grad Ford plays in Northwestern State loss

Pearland High School graduate Ebony Ford played for Northwestern State in its 65-49 loss to Mississippi State Friday, Dec. 28, at Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, Miss., the team's website reported.

The freshman forward and Northwestern State University are 4-6 on the season.

Ford is a 2011 graduate of Pearland High School, where she was a first team all-district player as a senior and second team honoree as a junior. In her senior season, she averaged 15 points and seven boards a game along with an average of two assists, three steals and two blocked shots. She also was recognized as an All-American Scholar and was a member of both the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. The psychology major from Pearland is the daughter of Dennis and Arlene Ford.
