Friendswood High School art students bring gifts to foster children
Students from Friendswood High School's National Art Honor Society and the Art Club recently visited foster children at Kidz Harbor.
According to a press release from Friendswood High School, the students "went to visit the foster children, mostly teenagers, at Kidz Harbor, in Liverpool, Texas. The young people at Kidz Harbor were given a gift card each from the FHS students; they could choose art supplies, Christmas goodies, toiletries, food or whatever else they might want. The visiting group was able to stay several hours and played board games, soccer and Frisbee, as well as having a chance to talk teen to teen about topics they found meaningful."
"Our students graciously gave their time and their TLC to make about 40 teenagers very happy," said Friendswood High School art teacher Jan Nemitz, according to the release.
