Glenda Dawson High School grad Knoxson completes Navy basic training

Kori J. Knoxson recently completed basic training with the U.S. Navy at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

According to a press release, "during the eight-week program, Knoxson completed a variety of training, which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness."

With the completion of basic training, Knoxson has attained the rank of Seaman Recruit.

Knoxson, a graduate of Glenda Dawson High School, is the daughter of Viola M. Barb, of Houston.
