Restored Home in Alvin offers chalk painting class

The Restored Home in Alvin will hold an Annie Sloan Chalk Paint 101 basics workshop from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan 12.   The workshop will teach participants four different techniques of using paint and waxes to make stripping, sanding, priming and preparation unnecessary, according to a press release.   Rhonda McCleskey, a certified Annie Sloan stockist and trainer, will present the workship. The cost is $175 per person, and a full, non-refundable payment is due at registration. All materials will be provided for the two-color technique, color washing, dry brushing and heavy texturing.    These workshops are also available for small group events or private classes.   Restored Home is at 1004 W.
