Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce to host membership awards banquet

The Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 56th annual awards banquet beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Alvin.

The chamber is currently accepting award nominations and sponsorship registrations for the event, which will include a reception, dinner and program. Cocktail attire is requested, according to a chamber press release.

Sponsorships are available at the platinum, gold and silver levels for member businesses. The platinum sponsorship is $1,000, the gold is $800 and the silver is $650. All levels feature amenities, including advertising, logo presentations and tables for 10 people. Specific sponsorship descriptions are available on the chamber website.

Nominations are also being accepted for this year's awards, including citizen of the year, outstanding leader of the year, large business of the year, small business of the year and volunteer of the year. Award descriptions are also available on the chamber website.

The cost for individual tickets is $65 per person or $75 after Friday, Jan 25.

The Knights of Columbus Hall is at 123 County Road 146.
