Harris County Department of Education hosts student holiday marketplace
Students set up a holiday marketplace at the Harris County Department of Education on Friday, Dec. 7.
According to a press release from Harris County Department of Education, students from 14 area elementary and middle schools sold items such as backpack ornaments, hair bows, dog tags and homemade pillows. They marketed their items to customers through choreographed, live commercials.
Prizes were awarded for creativity, originality, logo and poster design, profit and product originality. The marketplace was part of the Cooperative for After-School Enrichment program.
