Friendswood speaks on water, sewer insurance
The city of Friends-wood has been notified that in the coming weeks a company named American Water Resources of Texas will issue mail outs advertising their private water line insurance, according to a city press release.
The city has announced that the city’s water/sewer services are not affiliated with any other private water line insurance service.
The city maintains and repairs water lines that are located in rights of way and easements throughout the community; the property owner is typically responsible for water line repairs located on private property. The release said that it is solely up to the property owner to determine whether he or she wishes to purchase private water line insurance.
