Savannah Lakes Elementary School holds career day

Career day at Savannah Lakes Elementary School.

Savannah Lakes Elementary School recently held a career day that included industry professionals sharing insights into career opportunities, as part of Alvin Independent School District's College and Career Week.

"To close out College and Career Week, various campuses hosted career days, in an effort to share career options with students. Students were able to hear first hand from lawyers, doctors, firemen, engineers, pilots and much more," according to a school press release.

"Our students really learned a lot from this educational opportunity. Each of the individuals who volunteered their time left a significant impact on our students, and we are thankful for their time and commitment to our students," said Lakeisha Williams, Savannah Lakes Elementary counselor, in a press release.
