Pearland alum Bennett contributes to University of San Diego victory
Pearland High School alumna Julia Bennett contributed four points in the University of San Diego's 77-70 win against Boise State University on Dec. 30, according to the University of San Diego's website.
The University of San Diego junior guard also recorded one assist for the Toreros, who improved to 4-2 on the season.
She is a 2009 graduate of Pearland High School where she was named defensive and offensive player of the year in 2008. She averaged 18 points as a senior to go along with 3.2 assists, four rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. As a senior she was named to the all-greater Houston team and was named to the academic all-state team. She carried a 3.7 GPA into the University of San Diego.
