Man arrested at traffic stop

Joseph Ian LaFleur, 22, of Friendswood, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by the Friendswood Police Department at 2:55 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 after a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Castle Harbour Drive in Friendswood.

According to the Friendswood Police Department, "An officer was conducting a traffic stop in the 2200 block of W. Parkwood Avenue when he noticed a vehicle coming up behind the patrol car at a high rate of speed. The officer released his violator and attempted to catch up to LaFleur’s vehicle. The vehicle then crossed into the westbound lane while driving east before he was stopped."
