Civil engineering firm opens office in Pearland

Houston-based civil engineering consulting firm Cobb, Fendley and Associates has chosen Pearland for its newest office location.

Providing real estate and surveying services since 1980, the firm has been considering relocating to Pearland since late 2011, according to the Pearland Economic Development Corp.

In a press release, PEDC president Matt Buchanan called the firm an "excellent addition to our business community." "We are excited they chose Pearland and wish them the best in their new office," said Buchanan.

"We were attracted by Pearland's favorable business climate," said Charles M. Eastland, principal and municipal manager at CobbFendley, in the release. "Pearland's excellent location allows us to easily serve our many clients in the Pearland/Brazoria County area."

The Pearland office, one of six CobbFendley offices in Texas, will provide land development, utility engineering, surveying and other services in the Bay Area region.

In late October, the firm conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new office at 1506 E. Broadway.

Established in 1995, the PEDC promotes economic development activity in Pearland. The organization aims to attract capital investment to add to the city's tax base and increase job opportunities for residents.
