Alexander Middle School student receives highest bid for steer

Jayce Morgan, an Alexander Middle School student and Pearland resident, recently received the highest bid, $8,000, for her grand champion steer at the Livestock Show & Career Expo on Sept. 27.
Buyers Sam Roeber, Greg Hill, Tom Gray and Billy Griffin each contributed $2,000 to the steer during the first-ever Livestock Show & Career Expo, according to a school district press release.
Alexander Middle School is at 3001 Old Alvin Road.
