Campbell, Frerking named new principals at Pearland ISD schools

The Board of Trustees at Pearland ISD named two new principals to district schools at its Tuesday, Nov. 13 meeting.

Lori Campbell will serve as principal of Silvercrest Elementary School while Jason Frerking will serve as principal of Pearland Junior High School South.

Campbell has 19 years of experience in education and has served as assistant principal of Silvercrest since 2007. Prior to this, she was an instructional specialist, reading specialist and bilingual teacher for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.  She also taught in Alief, Copperas Cove and Temple independent school districts and holds a masters degree from University of Houston.

According to a press release, Campbell stated, "I want to go the extra mile to build an open rapport while maintaining a professional, friendly presence and being an employee who can be counted on to get the job done."

Frerking began his educational career in Pearland ISD, serving as an assistant and head band director at campuses, including Pearland Junior High School East, Sam Jamison Middle School, PJH South and Pearland High School. He returned to Pearland ISD in 2008, serving as Dawson High School assistant principal after a short stint at Alvin ISD.  Frerking has a masters degree from University of Houston-Clear Lake.

According to a press release, Frerking stated, "My vision is a campus where teachers and staff work together and work hard, even when faced with great challenges, to meet each students unique needs and help each student reach his or her fullest potential."
