AARP Tax-Aide seeks volunteers for upcoming tax season
AARP Tax-Aide is seeking volunteers from Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, to Monday, April 15 to help middle- and low-income taxpayers prepare their 2012 taxes.
During training courses held in January, volunteers will learn how to prepare basic income taxes using electronic filing software.
Tax-Aide volunteers work a minimum of four hours per week throughout the tax season. Participants should have basic computer skills. Training courses will take place in Clear Lake and Webster.
AARP Tax-Aide is a nonprofit organization that works in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service.
