Friendswood Police Department activity report, Oct. 22-28
The Friendswood Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday, Oct. 22 to Sunday, Oct. 28:
BURGLARY
Oct. 22, 8:51 a.m.: A vehicle was allegedly burglarized at the Bridgestone Apartments, 4949 FM 2351, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. A portable air conditioner unit and tools were reported stolen.
Oct. 28, 6:39 p.m.: A vehicle was allegedly burglarized in the 1200 block of Twin Oaks Street. The car stereo, tools, an iPad and CDs were reported stolen.
THEFT
Oct. 22, 8:26 a.m.: A motorcycle was reported stolen from Salem Square Apartments, 110 Clearview Ave., between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. It is a red-and-black Honda CBR with Texas license plate number #RV596.
Oct. 25, 10:40 a.m.: A motorist reported that her purse was allegedly stolen following an accident investigation in the 3000 block of West Bay Area Boulevard. The victim reports that she believes her purse was stolen from her cart in Kroger or from her car after the accident.
Oct. 26, 4:57 p.m.: A theft was reported in the 400 block of Brandywine. The homeowner reports finding several ladders in front of their patio and a window screen broken. Another neighbor reported that he was missing beer from his outside refrigerator.
Oct. 27, 10:17 a.m.: A license plate was reported stolen from a car parked on the east side of the Enclave Apartments, l5000 Watkins Way.
FRAUD
Oct. 22, 9:14 a.m.: A resident in the 500 block of Southfield reported credit card abuse. The victim discovered three pending charges that she reports she did not make. The charges were made at a Houston bar using her debit card, which she still had in her possession. The credit card has been cancelled and the charges disputed.
Oct. 24, 10:42 a.m.: A resident in the 400 block of David Street is closely monitoring his bank account and credit reports after he received a call confirming a high-dollar wire transfer. The transfer was not authorized and an investigation is now underway to determine who is using the victim's identity to access his accounts.
Oct. 25, 6:01 p.m.: A resident in the 800 block of Piney Ridge Drive received a call from her bank advising her of suspicious activity on her bank account. There were three fraudulent charges totaling more than $1,200.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Oct. 22, 9:34 p.m.: A 17-year-old man from Friendswood is facing charge of assault by contact in the 1100 block of Tipperary Avenue. The victim allegedly got into a physical confrontation with his father after an argument. The man was last arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana in March.
Oct. 27, midnight: Warrants are being issued by officers for a 42-year-old man from Friendswood after his girlfriend reported she had allegedly been assaulted. The man had an active protective order prohibiting him from going to the victim's residence or place of employment. The officer will be filing a warrant for assault causing bodily injury-family violence and violation of a protective order.
Oct. 27, 2:52 p.m.: A 64-year-old man from Friendswood was arrested on a charge of assault by contact in the 16600 block of Oxnard Lane. The man claims he hit the victim in self-defense after she hit him in the forehead.
Oct. 27, 11:07 a.m.: A 25-year-old man from Friendswood was arrested on a charge of violation of a protective order after officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 1700 block of Blackhawk Boulevard.
Oct. 28, 2:48 p.m.: A 35-year-old female from Friendswood was arrested on a charge of assault by contact after officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Melody Lane, where two women were allegedly fighting.
NARCOTICS
Oct. 22, 5:18 p.m.: A 28-year-old man from Corpus Christi was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2 and possession of a dangerous drug in the 1000 block of West Parkwood Avenue.
Oct. 23, 12:03 p.m.: A 26-year-old man from Houston was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia in the 400 block of Woodlawn Drive.
Oct. 23, 4:21 p.m.: A 32-year-old from Friendswood and a 39-year-old man from Houston were arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana in the 2500 block of West Bay Area Boulevard.
Oct. 24: A 41-year-old man from Houston was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3300 block of Queensburg Lane.
Oct. 25, 2:29 p.m.: A 32-year-old man from Friendswood was arrested on charges of driving while license is invalid and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of Leisure Lane. A 25-year-old female from Friendswood was arrested on a charge with possession of marijuana.
Oct. 26, 9:49 a.m.: A 19-year-old man from Friendswood was arrested on a charge of falsification of drug test results in the 1300 block of South Friendswood Drive.
Oct. 27, 3:55 a.m.: An 18-year-old man from Friendswood was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia in the 300 block of West Edgewood Drive.
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
Oct. 24, 9:21 a.m.: A 56-year-old woman from Friendswood was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence (second offense) in the 100 block of East Parkwood.
Oct. 25, 1:47 a.m.: An 18-year-old man from Baytown was arrested on charges of a minor driving under the influence and a minor in possession of alcohol in the 400 block of East Parkwood.
Oct. 26, 10:26 p.m.: A 24-year-old man from Houston was arrested on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated, evading arrest and possession of marijuana in the 2000 block of South Friendswood Drive.
Oct. 27, 1:34 a.m.: A 51-year-old man from Pearland was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated in the 1400 block of South Friendswood Drive.
Oct. 27, 9 p.m.: A 33-year-old man from Alvin was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (second offense) in the 4000 block of FM 2351.
PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Oct. 24, 12:10 p.m.: A 39-year-old man from Houston was arrested on a charge of public intoxication in the 5200 block of Shady Oaks Lane.
OTHER EVENTS
Oct. 26, 3:41 p.m.: A 17-year-old female from Friendswood was arrested on a charge of possession of a tobacco product by a minor in the 16500 block of Blackhawk Road.
Oct. 28, 11:27 p.m.: A 20-year-old man from Houston was arrested on a charge of failure to identify-fugitive in the 800 block of South Friendswood Drive.
