Shadycrest Elementary seeks volunteers for Watch DOGS program

Shadycrest Elementary School is currently seeking volunteers for its Watch Dads of Great Students program, which aims to involve all fathers and male role models.

The aim of the program, which is in its second year, is to provide positive influences for the students with the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures.

Fathers or male role models interested in volunteering can email shadycrestpta@yahoo.com or stop by the school to request a registration and volunteer instruction form. WatchDOGS Program should be included in the subject line.

WatchDOGS T-shirts can be purchased for $15, and must be worn by volunteers while on campus. Checks are payable to Shadycrest PTA and can be returned in an envelope along with the completed registration form.

Prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer instruction form and a mandatory background check at least two weeks prior to volunteering.

Volunteer times are available each weekday from 7:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m. All volunteers must report to the school secretary or counselor upon arriving in order to check in.

Shadycrest Elementary School is at 2405 Shady Bend Drive, Pearland.
