Friendswood High School forensics team wins 10 trophies at speech tournament

Forensic team members from Friendswood High School recently participated in the South Houston speech tournament, bringing home 10 trophies.

The team took fourth place out of 28 schools participating in the event, according to a press release.

Individual honors went to Dylan Dickens, who earned first place in foreign extemp and first in congressional debate; Lisa Harrington, who earned third in oration and second in public forum debate; Lisa Rodriguez, who earned third place in public forum debate; Nicole Rodriguez, who earned third in public forum debate and fifth place in novice poetry; Nicholas Strope, who earned second in novice extemp; Kevin Hodge, who earned fifth in novice extemp; Jacob Segal, who earned sixth in oration; and Carter Whitaker, who earned seventh place in impromptu speaking.
