New Life Plaza hosts Life and Soul health fair
New Life Plaza recently hosted a Life and Soul health fair.
Joy of Sharing, an initiative of Global Organization for Divinity (G.O.D.), conducted the event, which offered free health screenings to more than 100 participants.
Attendees came from Houston, Manvel, Pearland, Alvin, Brazosport, Sugar Land and The Woodlands.
Organized in the spirit of service to the community, the fair's goal was to bring together like-minded health service organizations.
There was a blood donation drive and free state-sponsored flu shots for children without insurance.
Student volunteers from Milby High School, DeBakey High School, Manvel High School and University of Houston provided assistance in running the event.
