Hatch Mott MacDonald to expand, relocate office

Hatch Mott MacDonald has announced a plan to expand and relocate its office.

Currently located at 2950 Cullen Parkway, the engineering and environmental consulting firm will move to the fourth floor of the Shadow Creek Business Center at 11233 Shadow Creek Parkway in mid-November.

According to a Pearland Economic Development press release, the Pearland office serves as headquarters to HMM's Pipeline Division and Houston Subdivision. Headquartered in Millburn, N.J., HMM is a leading North American engineering and environmental consulting firm with a century of worldwide experience providing comprehensive services in the areas of infrastructure, pipeline, utility, tunnels, transportation, water and wastewater markets.

The PEDC and the City of Pearland began working with HMM on this relocation earlier this year. PEDC approved an incentive package to secure the HMM relocation. The incentive package is based on the organization's agreement to retain current jobs in Pearland and its investment in the community, according to the release.

"We've always had an outstanding experience in this community since our office first opened over ten years ago," said Berkeley Beard, principal manager and VP with HMM, in the release. "Pearland is home to many of our valued employees and offers our organization great accessibility to our pipeline clients in the Houston region."

According to the release, the new 20,000 square-foot office will house HMM's 70 employees with room for up to 30 additional employees. In addition to the full-time employees that provide specialized services for HMM's Pipeline Division, approximately 50 field personnel also report directly to this office.
