HCA Gulf Coast Division to build new medical center in Pearland
The HCA Gulf Coast Division announced on Tuesday, Oct. 30 that it will construct a medical center in Pearland.
The 30-bed, $71 million center will house a full-service emergency department, imaging center and medical office building. Its specialties will include pediatrics, women's services, emergency care and cardiovascular health.
"We are excited to expand our presence in Pearland with a state-of-the-art hospital that will allow the citizens of that community to receive quality health care close to home," Maura Walsh, president of HCA Gulf Coast Division, said in a press release.
Construction is set to begin in 2013 with completion expected by the end of 2014.
The HCA Gulf Coast Division is a network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, cancer centers and imaging facilities and offers a number of health programs throughout the Houston area.
