Book author acquires Sunrise Lakes home

Ahmad H. Joudah and Zarifah A. Joudah acquired a 4,992-square-foot home at 2521 Sunny Shores Drive in Pearland from Diane J. Bemrich on Nov. 21.

The house was built in 2001 in Sunrise Lakes subdivision. It is valued at $182,700.

Joudah is a book author and a retired professor. He taught Arabic at Fort Campbell in Tennessee, served as professor of Modern Middle East History at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia and taught at the University of Ben Gazi in Libya. He also served as a curator of Middle East collection at the University of Texas.

He earned his B.A. from the University of Cairo, his M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.

Bemrich is an independent civic and social organization professional.
