Deer Park runner completes Be The One Run 5K

An athlete from Deer Park completed the Be The One Run 5K on Sept. 15 in Sugar Land.

Genna Nicolas, 12, finished with a time of 38:04.

A total of 320 finished the 5K race, which was held at Sugar Land Town Square.

Brian Alvarado, of Houston, was the men's overall winner with a time of 16:42, while Heidi Zimmerman, of Houston, was the winner in the women's category with 19:13.
