Claws & Paws holds Open House on Oct. 13

Celebrating 15 years in Pearland, Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital will be holding an open house with fun and exciting activities for both pet owners and their furry friends on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include food and drinks, door prizes, clinic tours and information, activities for the kids, drug dog demonstrations, training demonstrations, free pet tags and pet adoptions.

"We will be having an open house in celebration of 15 years of serving the communities of Pearland and the surrounding areas," Dorian Strickland, of Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital, said. "We couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you for continuing to support us!"

In addition to the open house, CPVH is announcing that they have started a Biggest Loser Challenge for pets who may need to shed a few 'extra' pounds. The clinic is offering prizes for the pets that shed the most weight, or the highest percentage of lost weight. Interested parties can sign up at the open house or visit the website http://www.cpvh.com.

"Now is the time to start an exercise regimen with your pet," Strickland added. "It is much easier to maintain a healthy weight than it is to lose the extra pounds. The increased walks or playtime with your four-legged family member may even benefit you as well. Of course, you should still check with your doctor before you begin any exercise routine."
