ACC court reporting students excel in state exam

Students of court reporting at Alvin Community College excelled in the state exam, according to John Tompkins, communications coordinator at Alvin Community College.

Of the 49 students throughout the state who took the exam in April, only six passed. Four of those students were from ACC.

ACC had six students taking the exam, which makes for a passing rate of 66 percent.

Court reporting involves the transcription of spoken words into written records.
