Manvel girls volleyball falls to Alvin

The Manvel High School girls volleyball team was defeated in three games Sept. 11, 25-15, 25-13 and 25-12, by Alvin in District 22-5A action.

Manvel dropped to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in district play, as Averis Johnson recorded four kills.

Alvin is 13-8 overall and 2-0 in district play, as Kelsey Purcell earned 13 kills.

Manvel will host Pasadena Dobie at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.

Alvin visits Pearland at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.
