Fall water aerobics session begins Sept. 4
The first fall session of Friendswood Independent School District Water Aerobics will take place from Tuesday, Sept. 4 to Thursday, Sept. 20 at Friendswood Aquatic Center.
Classes will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and 9-10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each 60-minute class will be taught by certified water aerobics instructors.
Participants should be comfortable in deep water but will be supported by the Aquajogger buoyancy belt and other Aquajogger equipment. The instructor will guide participants through the use of the equipment.
Water Aerobics is a no impact workout program. Exercise routines can be adjusted to the needs of the individuals.
Sessions will last for three weeks. Classes are limited to the first 25 paid registrants.
The price for Tuesday and Thursday classes is $18.75 for the session, which is a discounted rate to welcome back old participants. Payments can be made by cash or a check payable to Friendswood Independent School District.
To sign up, visit the Friendswood Aquatic Center between 6 a.m. and noon and 1-8 p.m.
