The Friendswood Chamber of Commerce accepting applications for the 2012-13 class
The Friendswood Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2012-13 leadership class.
The Leadership Friendswood program aims to educate future community leaders in the area through hands-on activities and experiences. Participants will work to hone leadership skills and gain valuable insight about the community's leadership opportunities while collaborating with local businesses and residents.
"As a leadership-driven organization, we must identify individuals who will not only inspire change through their outstanding potential, but will assume positions of civic, community and government leadership that will strongly contribute to our thriving community," said Carol Ives Marcantel, IOM president, in a press release. "Leadership Friendswood is a valuable program for any business person or citizen."
Marcantel says that participants in the program will be better prepared to enhance the Friendswood community's future growth.
"The knowledge you gain through the training and interaction with the city, state, educational, business and community leaders provides you with the tools you need to not only benefit you, but enhance the quality of life for the community," she said. "It is a win, win for all of us!"
To pick up an application, visit the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce office at 1100 South Friendswood Drive or contact Carol Marcantel at 281-482-3329 or by email at carol@friendswoodchamber.com.
