Friendswood Senior Advisory Committee to meet
The Friendswood Senior Citizens Advisory Committee will hold its next regular meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14.
The session will be held at the Friendswood Activity Building in meeting Room D, located at 416 Morningside, in Friendswood.
Items to be considered include July minutes, upcoming trips and events, a report on the Watermelon Bash & Bingo event, Lunch and Fun, Christmas in September and possible actions regarding the budget and purchasing, according to a press release.
The Recreation Coordinator will make a report and comments from the public will be taken. All interested residents are invited to attend this open meeting.
Genie Balderaz is the senior program manager.
The advisory committee oversees and supports of the Friendswood Senior Citizens Program. Its purpose is to enrich the lives of senior adults through activities, programs and trips, according to the FSCP website.
The facility is wheelchair accessible and parking spaces are available. Requests for accommodation or interpretive services must be made 48 hours prior to the meeting.
