Spike It volleyball tournament rescheduled for Aug. 18
The City of Friendswood Community Services Department has changed the date of the Spike It @ Stevenson sand volleyball tournament to Saturday, Aug. 18.
The tournament is sponsored by KL Kreations and Engraphics. Registration for the tournament is currently open and players of all ages are welcome to participate in it.
The tournament is double elimination and will feature two divisions -- a co-ed 4-on-4 and a co-ed 2-on-2 division. All games will be played at Stevenson Park, which is located at 1100 S. Friendswood Drive. The top two teams in each division will receive prizes.
The deadline to register is Wednesday, Aug. 15 and the cost is $40 for a two-person team and $60 for a four-person team.
Anyone interested in playing can register at the Community Services Department in City Hall Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. City Hall is located at 910 S. Friendswood Drive.
