Two Alvin participants complete YMCA Kiwanis Kids Triathlon

Two young Alvin athletes completed the YMCA Kiwanis Kids Triathlon for children from 7 to 9 on Satuday, July 28 at The Woodlands.

Kaytlynn Welsch, 12, completed the race in 12:15, and Heather Welsch, 10, crossed the finish line in 13:18.

A total of 238 participants finished the race, consisting of a 50-meter swim, one-mile bike ride, and 1/4-mile run.

Raul Alejandro Luzardo was the boy's overall winner with a time of 8:00. Anna Klein won the girl's division with 9:18.
