Pearland Swim Academy offers lessons for all ages
The Pearland Swim Academy is offering swim classes for ages six months and older.
The Water Senses classes are for parents and their children, acclimating the new swimmers to the water. Children will learn the fundamentals, like jumping into the pool, floating and holding their breath.
Water Strong classes will teach swimmers beginning freestyle swim moves, as well as backstrokes and diving. Water Stars classes move on to hip kicking, streamline body positions and breaststrokes. This class introduces swimmers to competitive racing starts and more freestyle instruction.
Water Racers classes focus on the four competitive strokes of the butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. Starts and turns will be honed. The Swim Team level introduces students to a swim team environment and the competitive aspects of swimming.
Adult lessons are also available for any age, whether first learning to swim or looking to enhance swim techniques. The class is also a good opportunity for aquatic exercise.
The Pearland Swim Academy is located at 2503 County Road 89. For more information on schedules and pricing, visit www.pearlandswimacademy.com.
