Pearland Parks offers adaptive basketball
A No Limits basketball program hosted by Pearland Parks and Recreation Department meets every Wednesday.
The adaptive basketball program is open to anyone with developmental disabilities. Participants can enjoy the game of basketball while building fitness, coordination and teamwork. Focuses of the program include learning basic basketball skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, playing defense and more. The program is open to all skill levels, and participants receive a team T-shirt. Parents, guardians and caregivers must assist those with special needs.
The group meets every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. until Wednesday, Aug. 22. Play is at the department's Recreation Center and Natatorium, located at 4141 Bailey Road, Pearland.
