Space Center Systems to hold blood drive
Pearland residents are invited to help save lives during the Space Center Systems blood drive from 12:30-5 p.m. Saturday, July 28.
Every day, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is in need of 1,000 units of blood to meet the needs of patients in the region, according to a press release. The center is the primary supplier of blood to more than 170 hospitals and health care facilities in the 26-county Texas Gulf Coast region.
Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good general health. The process takes about one hour. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is an independent, nonprofit blood center not affiliated with the American Red Cross.
Those who donate during the Space Center Systems drive will receive free pizza from CiCi's Pizza and chair massages from Premier Chiropractic.
The drive will be held at Space Center Systems, located at 1635 Broadway, Suite 109 in Pearland. To schedule a donation, visit giveblood.org or call 1-888-482-5663.
