The three-story facility, covering 39,000 square feet, will house about 100 employees, including management personnel, engineers, designers and administrative staff.
“Today is the start of a long-term partnership between Pearland and Ref-Chem,” said Charles Gooden Jr., chairman of Pearland Economic Development Corp., in a press release. “Currently the second fastest-growing city in Texas, Pearland is an innovative and business-friendly community that has Ref-Chem’s success as a top priority.”
The groundbreaking was followed by a luncheon.
“I am excited to celebrate in the groundbreaking of Ref-Chem’s new facility in our community,” said Tom Reid, Pearland’s mayor. “Ref-Chem’s selection of our community is an indication of our endeavors to work with these businesses to generate investment and employment opportunities for the area.”
