TxDOT holds public workshop discussing CR 220 improvement project
The Texas Department of Transportation held a public workshop on Thursday, June 21 to discuss the CR 220 improvement project.
Held at Angleton Junior High School, the workshop's purpose was to present the construction phase plan for the project, which will widen CR 220 from two to four lanes spanning from SH 288 to one-half mile east of SH 288B.
CR 220 will also be extended to intersect with FM 523.
Both improvements require approximately 86 acres of right-of-way along the north side of the existing facility.
Construction should begin late this year and is expected to last for two years.
Participants at the workshop viewed exhibits showing the construction phase plan, aerial photography and engineering drawings.
