Pearland runner completes Summerfest Rock 'n Sole Half Marathon

Barbara Smith, 64, of Pearland completed the Summerfest Rock 'n Sole Half Marathon in 3:05:56.

The event was held on Saturday, June 23 in Milwaukee. A total of 3,217 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which started and ended at Henry Maier Festival Park. The course is a USATF-sanctioned race.

Nathan Routhier of Mequon, Wis., was the men’s overall winner with a time of 1:12:08, while Dani Fischer of Madison, Wis., was the women’s winner in 1:20:30.
