Bob S. Owen Aquatic Center provides place to cool down this summer
The Bob S. Owen Aquatic Center, located at 919 Bayou Drive, will be open to the public seven days a week now through Aug. 19.
The pool has many features, such as a mushroom fountain, outdoor showers, pavilions, picnic tables, shade area, three tube slides and a zero-depth splash area.
Admission is $4 for residents and $5 for nonresidents.
Summer passes cost $60 per person and $100 for a family of two to five people.
Passes can be purchased at the pool or at the Alvin Parks and Recreation Office, located at 309 W. Sealy. For more information, call 281-388-4299.
The Bob S. Owen pool can also be rented from 7-9 p.m., 9-11 p.m. and 7-11 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday mornings. Reservations cost $125 for residents and $145 for nonresidents for a two-hour rental and $250 for residents and $290 for nonresidents for a four-hour rental.
