Filing deadline to run for open FISD board seats Aug. 20
Four trustee positions are open for the Friendswood Independent School District board.
The election for the position is Nov. 6. Filing to run for open seats ends Aug. 20. Applications may be picked up or mailed from the administration building, 302 Laurel Drive, Friendswood.
Current trustees include Mike Shaw in Position 1, Dr. Matt Robinson in Position 2, Rebecca Hillenburg in Position 3 and Tony Hopkins in Position 4. Hillenburg is currently president, with Hopkins as vice president.
