Friendswood City Pool announces summer hours

The newly renovated Friendswood City Pool is now open to the public and has announced its summer season schedule.

The pool will be open to the public from 7-9:30 p.m. every day and also from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. All times are for open swim.

The pool will be closed from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 16 and June 30 due to scheduled FAST swim meets.

On July 4, the pool will be open and free to the public from 1-8 p.m.

On Aug. 25-26 and Sept. 1-3, the pool will be open from 1-8 p.m., with Sept. 3 being the last day of the swimming season.

Two lanes will always be dedicated to lap swim during open swim. Morning lap swim is available at the Friendswood ISD Aquatic Center. For more information, call 281-992-2505.

Pool passes can be purchased at the pool. The fee for a family pass is $75 for residents and $85 for nonresidents. The fees for individual passes are $45 for residents and $55 for nonresidents. Twenty-visit passes cost $15 for residents and $30 for nonresidents. The daily entry fee for residents is $1 and $2 for nonresidents.

Friendswood seniors 55 and older swim for free.

The pool is available for private parties on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The rental fee for private parties is $35 per hour for residents and $45 for nonresidents, plus $10 per hour for a lifeguard. From July 8 through Aug. 24, the pool will be available for parties from 5-7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
