Friendswood Senior Citizen Program announces summer events

The Friendswood Senior Citizen Program has scheduled three events for June.

Kicking off the activities from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 18 is a fashion show at the Friendswood Activity Building, 416 Morningside Drive. Check out the latest collections from BonWorth's Clothing and Premier Designs Jewelry. Appetizers and beverages will be served. Anyone interested in participating in the fashion show may call 281-482-8441.

A barbecue fundraiser for the program is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 21. Barbecue brisket from Joe's Barbeque, beans, potato salad and drinks will be served. Plates are $5 for seniors and children and $7 for adults. Proceeds benefit the City of Friendswood Senior Citizen Program. For more information, call 281-482-8441.

All area seniors are invited to the Friendswood Senior Citizen Program's Lunch & Fun from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 25. Pizza, salad and dessert will be served for lunch until noon, followed by entertainment. Call 281-482-8441 for more information.
